The game ran 24/24h on a hex-board. You could move your troops to conquer new lands or to defend your boundaries.
Send merchants caravans between your cities and your allies. Sharing resources was the backbone of a thriving tribe.
Recruit units, organize armies and march them across the hex-board to claim new territories or defend your borders.
Join a tribe, rise through the ranks and become a khan. Coordinate with your allies on the persistent world — alliances shape the map.
Four versions over nearly two years of development — from the early grid-based prototype to the final hand-painted v1.3 with Adrien Thollot's artwork.
Flex 4 (ActionScript) for the client, Java and Spring Framework on the backend, deployed on Google AppEngine for a persistent MMO world.

Servers still availableFor the most curious — the 3rd version (1.2) and the 4th version (1.3) are still reachable. Just wait a couple of minutes for Google AppEngine to wake them up for you.

My first MMORPG — 2 years to start my game design adventure. The player controlled a dynasty of magicians and warriors, crafted items and fought against other players in turn-based battles. This project ignited the passion for game development that drives me today.
