A browser MMO where musicians jam in bands
At the heart of The Band lives the Arranger: a neon timeline with dedicated tracks for drums, bass, guitar and piano. Drag loops from the Picker onto each track, tweak the tempo and watch the playhead sweep across your composition in real time.
Each track can be filled with loops from multiple style libraries — techno, classical, jazz — rated by the community. The right side panel serves loops on demand while transport controls drive the playback.
Before joining a band, every player crafts a musician: gender, body, hair, jacket, trousers and shoes, each with multiple styles and color variants. The same character then performs across every track and competition.
The visual direction mixed manga-inspired silhouettes with Gorillaz energy. Each part — hair, body, outfit — was drawn individually so players could assemble their own musician from the pieces.
The very first mockup for The Band — four neon tracks, musicians laid out as Benjamin, Alain, Sophie and Nicolas, with a side picker for techno, classique and jazz loops rated by the community. The composition that shaped everything that came after.
Create or join a band with other musicians. Each player brings an instrument slot, and the group shares a composition timeline.
Bands face off in themed competitions, with rating stars on every track submitted. The best songs climb the weekly leaderboards.
An in-game inbox handles invitations, band messages and competition notifications — the social glue between players.
Each musician gets a public profile showing their band, their tracks and their Uralys stats across the platform.
