## Permissions

- **You may record, stream and publish the whole demo**, start to finish. There
is nothing held back and nothing to hide.
- **You may show the level editor too**: it is part of the demo. Build a level
on camera, play it, publish it on the Steam Workshop of the demo, or play the
  levels other players shared there.
- **You may monetize that content**, on any platform, including ad revenue,
  sponsorships, memberships and Super Chats.
- **There is no embargo.** The demo is public, so anything in it can be shown
  the day you record it.
- **No key is required** for the demo, and no install either: it also plays in
the browser at <https://uralys.itch.io/faraday-corridors>. If you would rather
have a build of the full game, or a key for another platform, just ask.
- You do not need to credit anything beyond the game name, though a link to the
  Steam page is always welcome.

## The demo in one paragraph

The demo is chapters 1 and 2 in full: **24 puzzles**, plus 8 short tutorial
levels placed right in front of the mechanic they teach. Expect **around an hour** for a first run, less if you skip the
medal chase, much more if you go for platinum. The demo ends on 2-17, four room
rotators on a single pawn, which is the hardest level of the demo.

The demo also includes the **level editor**: you can create and play up to
three levels of your own, and the full game lifts that limit.

## Controls

Everything is playable on keyboard or controller, and the game switches between
the two live.

| Action | Keyboard | Controller |
|---|---|---|
| Move | Arrow keys | D-pad or left stick |
| Rush (hold to glide) | Hold SPACE | Hold R2 |
| Switch pawn | SHIFT | A / X (retrigger pads) |
| Pawn focus (hold) | CTRL | L2 |
| Confirm | SPACE or ENTER | A |
| Back | ESCAPE | B |
| Restart the level | R | Y |

A Settings toggle (**Automatic rush**) removes the dedicated rush key: holding a
direction is then enough to glide. Useful if you find the hold awkward on
camera.

## What is worth showing

- **The first switch, chapter 1 level 6.** The moment the grid stops being a
maze and starts being a machine.
- **Break-rooms, chapter 2 level 10.** A cell collapses for good once the last
pawn steps off it. The first time it happens is usually a reaction shot.
- **Multi-pawn coordination, chapter 2 levels 13 to 16.** Two pawns, one
solution, and the switch between them is the puzzle.
- **Room rotators, chapter 2 level 17.** Four rotators on a single pawn, the
  hardest level in the demo.
- **Rush Mode and the medals.** Solve a level, then run it again holding the
rush key. The gold and platinum medals are speedrun targets, and every scored
level has an online Hall of Fame leaderboard.
- **The level editor.** Start from an empty grid, wire a door to a switch,
then play your own level in one click. The guide walks through a first level
  step by step: <https://www.uralys.com/faraday-corridors/editor>
- **The Steam Deck build.** The interface is redrawn at 1280x800 rather than
upscaled, and Steam Cloud carries a save between Deck and desktop.

## Good to know on camera

- Levels are short. A wrong move costs seconds, not minutes, so the game reads
  well on a live stream.
- The grid is readable at any size: nothing important is conveyed by a small
  detail or a fast animation.
- There is no timer forcing you along, and no fail state. Restarting a level is
  one key away.

## Audio

The game has no voice acting. You are free to keep the game's music and sound
effects in your video, muted or not, as you prefer. If a platform ever raises a
content claim on the soundtrack, write to chris dot dugne at uralys dot com
and it will be sorted out.
